The Junction, Cambridge Following a number of years of seeking approvals and financial support from Arts Council England, the complete refurbishment of the existing night club building, a part of Trans Europe Halles Factories of the Imagination, and the construction of a new 200 seat courtyard theatre and rehearsal room / children's venue. The new elements of the project are clad in larch boarding and profiled metal. Identification of the various elements is achieved through the use of super-graphic numerals. The existing building is revamped externally with a new steel "colonnade" forming a support for art interventions. Internally the existing building is upgraded to provide a multi-space venue for a continuation of the Junction's innovative and exciting programme of progressive music.
