Bruce House, Covent Garden, London Conversion and extension of a listed Grade II former single men's hostel to provide accommodation for the young single homeless, a training centre for the jobless, 35 move-on flats for more stable residents and separate supported housing for the frail elderly. In addition and as part of the funding for the scheme, a commercial restaurant is provided on the ground floor. Landscaping and detailing is robust and capable of withstanding hard wear and tear. The existing interiors have been remodelled, where appropriate, to incorporate tiling and details of the old arts and craft period design.
